The Dunbar Crimson Tide (Washington, DC) basketball nipped the visiting Dunbar Poets (Baltimore, MD), 49-42 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Crimson Tide (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Bell (Washington, DC). The Griffins go into the DCIAA test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Bell was tipped by Coolidge (Washington, DC), 72-37, in a league test.
The Poets now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Green Street Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Dunbar will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 57-37 non-league win over Joppatowne (Joppa, MD). The Chargers record now stands at 4-9.
