Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA), 67-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mayfair upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Monsoons travel to Dominguez (Compton, CA) to clash with the Dons in a Gateway bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Dons go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Dominguez won 57-50 in their recent non-league bout against Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA)

Next up, the Aztecs clash with the Brea Olinda Wildcats (Brea, CA) in a North Hills bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Esperanza will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 8-14 record after their 83-29 non-league loss to Canyon (Anaheim, CA).
