Fenton Bison (Bensenville, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL), 48-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fenton upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Bison travel to Elgin (Elgin, IL) to clash with the Maroons in a Upstate Eight bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Elgin won 67-38 in their recent league bout against Larkin (Elgin, IL)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) in a West Suburban - Gold bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Leyden will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 15-2 record after their 68-56 non-league win over Chicago Marshall (Chicago, IL).
