The Freehold Township Patriots (Freehold, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ), 60-46 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Patriots (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Allentown (Allentown, NJ). The Redbirds go into the non-league test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Allentown notched a victory over Hightstown (Hightstown, NJ), 51-42, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Raritan for a Shore A - Central test on Tuesday, January 17. Holmdel will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 59-38 non-league win over Middletown North (Middletown, NJ). The Rockets record now stands at 11-0.
