The Grenada Chargers tipped the host New Hope Trojans basketball team by a final score of 41-39 in Saturday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Chargers face the Horn Lake Eagles (Horn Lake, MS) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 17. Grenada will attempt to move on its 12-6 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 21-1 record after their 88-70 non-league win over Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS).
With the defeat, New Hope moves to 12-6 on the year. The Trojans host West Point (West Point, MS) to confront the Green Wave in a 5A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, January 17. The Green Wave come into the battle with a record of 6-4.
