    In Saturday's non-league outing, the Guilford Vikings (Rockford, IL) basketball squad edged the visiting Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL), by a margin of 75-73.

    The Vikings (14-7) will now prepare for their outing against Jefferson (Rockford, IL). The J-Hawks go into the Northern Illinois 10 outing with a 4-14 record.

    The Red Wolves now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hononegah for a non-league outing on Monday, January 16. Thornton Fractional South will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 64-50 non-league loss to Batavia (Batavia, IL). The Indians record now stands at 4-15.
