The Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), 87-83 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Hurricanes (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA). The Warriors go into the Peninsula test with a 9-2 record.
The Greyhounds now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Booker T. Washington for a Eastern test on Tuesday, January 17. Norcom will encounter a Mighty Bookers squad coming off a 59-45 non-league win over Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Mighty Bookers record now stands at 8-1.
