The St. Ignatius Wildcats (Cleveland, OH) basketball nipped the host Hoover Vikings (North Canton, OH), 49-42 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Huntington Prep (Huntington, WV). The Irish go into the Freelance test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Huntington Prep got by 1 of 1 Academy (Indian Trail, NC), 72-63, in a non-league test.

The Vikings now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Chaney for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Hoover will encounter a Cowboys squad coming off a 61-38 non-league win over Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA). The Cowboys record now stands at 7-5.
