The Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) basketball knocked off the host Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL), 70-53 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Senators (8-13) will now prepare for their test against MacArthur (Decatur, IL). The Generals go into the Central State Eight test with a 17-1 record. In their last test, MacArthur notched a victory over Glenwood (Chatham, IL), 66-38, in a league test.
The J-Hawks now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Batavia for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Jefferson will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 64-50 non-league win over Hononegah (Rockton, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-11.
