The Jordan-Matthews Jets basketball team (Siler City, NC), was overwhelmed 67-23 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC)

The Chargers now possess a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Alamance for a 3A Conference 25 battle on Tuesday, January 17. Northwood will confront a Warriors team coming off a 47-40 league loss to Person (Roxboro, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-15.

The Jets (1-10) will now prepare for their battle against Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC). The Buccaneers come into the 1A/2A Conference 14 battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Bartlett Yancey trounced Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC), 58-46, in a league battle.
