King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA), 51-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, King's Fork upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Bulldogs host Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) to clash with the Tigers in a Southeastern bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 11-0.

Next up, the Commodores clash with the Norview Pilots (Norfolk, VA) in a Eastern bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Maury will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Pilots go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 80-77 non-league win over Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach, VA).
