Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 55-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Riverside upgrades its record to 1-13 on the season. The Warriors host George Washington (Charleston, WV) to play the Patriots in a Mountain State bout on Friday, January 20. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 10-0.

Next up, the Knights play the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) in a Big Ten bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Preston will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 74-38 league win over Elkins (Elkins, WV).
