Waverly Vikings (Waverly, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Seward Bluejays (Seward, NE), 47-42 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Waverly upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Vikings travel to Wahoo (Wahoo, NE) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 11-1.
Next up, the Bluejays play the Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Seward will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 54-37 league win over Norris (Firth, NE).
