South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Whiteoak Wildcats (Mowrystown, OH), 75-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Point upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Pointers travel to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH) to play the Trojans in a Ohio Valley bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 4-8. Portsmouth lost 64-60 in their recent league bout against Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets (Fayetteville, OH) in a Southern Hills bout, on Friday, January 20. Whiteoak will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record.
