Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Academy of St. Elizabeth Panthers (Convent Station, NJ) and the host Kittatinny Regional Cougars (Newton, NJ), saw Academy of St. Elizabeth's basketball squad hold off Kittatinny Regional by a count of 47-46.

With the victory, Academy of St. Elizabeth upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ) to play the Chiefs in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 16. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Caldwell won 53-25 in their recent league challenge against Livingston (Livingston, NJ)

Next up, the Cougars play the Wallkill Valley Rangers (Hamburg, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Freedom challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Kittatinny Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
