The Burke County Bears (Waynesboro, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA), 46-28 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bears (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellowjackets go into the AAAA Region 3 test with a 5-6 record.

The War Eagles now own a 13-3 record. They play next when they host Montgomery County for a A D2 Region 3 test on Tuesday, January 17. Jenkins County will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 63-38 non-league win over Treutlen (Soperton, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 16-1.
