East Coweta Indians (Sharpsburg, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hampton Hornets (Hampton, GA), 66-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Coweta upgrades its record to 3-14 on the season. The Indians host Griffin (Griffin, GA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Griffin lost 55-47 in their recent non-league bout against Grayson (Loganville, GA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Luella Lions (Luella, GA) in a AAAA Region 5 bout, on Friday, January 20. Hampton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 43-34 non-league win over Hardaway (Columbus, GA).
