New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers (Greenfield, IL), 38-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly upgrades its record to 11-10 on the season. The Vipers travel to Beardstown (Beardstown, IL) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-16. Beardstown lost 31-14 in their recent non-league bout against Pittsfield-Griggsville-Perry (Pittsfield, IL)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins (Glen Carbon, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Greenfield/Northwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record.
