In Saturday's non-league outing, the Hamlin Chargers (Hayti, SD) basketball squad overwhelmed the host West Lyon Wildcats (Inwood, IA), by a margin of 62-36.

The Chargers (8-0) will now prepare for their outing against DeSmet (DeSmet, SD). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, DeSmet smashed Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD), 68-51, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Okoboji for a Siouxland outing on Tuesday, January 17. West Lyon will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 69-39 league loss to Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA). The Pioneers record now stands at 5-8.
