Wright Panthers (Wright, WY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Kaycee Buckaroos (Kaycee, WY), 40-22 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Wright upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Sundance (Sundance, WY) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Northeast bout on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 6-6. Sundance lost 44-36 in their recent non-league bout against Harding County (Buffalo, SD)

Next up, the Buckaroos play the Midwest Oilers (Midwest, WY) in a 1A Northeast bout, on Thursday, January 19. Kaycee will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Oilers come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 45-21 non-league loss to Meeteetse (Meeteetse, WY).
