The Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) basketball nipped the visiting St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL), 48-45 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Knights (13-9) will now prepare for their test against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 13-8 record. In their last test, Neuqua Valley got by DeKalb (DeKalb, IL), 56-23, in a league test.

The Fighting Saints now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Lyons for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. St. Charles East will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 39-28 league win over Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL). The Lions record now stands at 18-4.
