South Carolina High School Basketball - Lower Richland thwarts Military Magnet Academy

January 14, 2023: Hopkins, SC 29061

The Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) basketball knocked off the visiting Military Magnet Academy Eagles (North Charleston, SC), 50-38 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Diamond Hornets (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Swansea (Swansea, SC). The Tigers go into the AAA Region 5 test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Swansea went down by Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC), 39-20, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Baptist Hill for a A Region 8 test on Tuesday, January 17. Military Magnet Academy will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 31-30 league loss to Burke (Charleston, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-13.
