Waynesville Spartans (Waynesville, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Madison Mohawks (Middletown, OH), 55-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Waynesville upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Spartans host Franklin (Franklin, OH) to clash with the Wildcats in a Southwestern Buckeye - East bout on Thursday, January 19. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Franklin won 61-49 in their recent non-league bout against Middletown Christian (Franklin, OH)

Next up, the Mohawks clash with the Preble Shawnee Arrows (Camden, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Madison will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Arrows go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 64-26 non-league win over Dunbar (Dayton, OH).
