Ohio High School Basketball - Martins Ferry can't hold off Monroe Central

The Monroe Central Seminoles basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Martins Ferry Purple Riders to 40 in the Seminoles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Seminoles now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bridgeport for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Monroe Central will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 40-33 non-league loss to Conotton Valley (Bowerston, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-9.
The Purple Riders (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Shadyside (Shadyside, OH). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 2-10 record.
