California High School Basketball - Mayfield overwhelmed by Muir

The Muir Mustangs basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Mayfield Cubs to 28 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Mustangs now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burbank for a Pacific contest on Tuesday, January 17. Muir will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 60-41 league loss to Burroughs (Burbank, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-10.
The Cubs (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Westridge (Pasadena, CA). The Tigers come into the Prep contest with a 1-10 record. In their last bout, Westridge was crushed by Chadwick (Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA), 53-38, in a league bout.
