The New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) basketball felled the host Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs (Elgin, MN), 84-68 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Eagles (10-3) will now prepare for their test against St. James (St. James, MN). The Saints go into the AA Section 3 test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, St. James thwarted Maple River (Mapleton, MN), 78-70, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Zumbrota-Mazeppa for a AA Section 1 test on Tuesday, January 17. Plainview-Elgin-Millville will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 53-41 league loss to Lake City (Lake City, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 7-7.
