The Parkland Trojans basketball team (Allentown, PA), was nudged 49-44 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Pocono Mountain West Panthers (Pocono Summit, PA)
The Panthers now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pleasant Valley for a Eastern Pennsylvania - Mountain battle on Tuesday, January 17. Pocono Mountain West will confront a Bears team coming off a 49-37 league loss to Stroudsburg (Stroudsburg, PA). The Bears record now stands at 1-6.
The Trojans (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bethlehem Catholic (Bethlehem, PA). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Bethlehem Catholic edged Louis E. Dieruff (Allentown, PA), 57-42, in a league battle.
