The Verona Hillbillies basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Shabazz Bulldogs to 1 in the Hillbillies non-league victory on Saturday.

The Hillbillies now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Montclair Kimberley Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Verona will battle a Cougars team coming off a 46-15 non-league loss to North Star Academy (Newark, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 2-3.

The Bulldogs (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Irvington (Irvington, NJ). The Blue Knights come into the non-league contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Irvington was routed by East Side (Newark, NJ), 50-46, in a non-league contest.
