In Saturday's non-league outing, the St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT) basketball squad felled the host Stratford Red Devils (Stratford, CT), by a margin of 43-35.

The Cadets (8-2) will now prepare for their outing against New Canaan (New Canaan, CT). The Rams go into the Fairfield County outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, New Canaan was beaten by Wilton (Wilton, CT), 41-39, in a league outing.

The Red Devils now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Pomperaug for a Southwest - Patriot outing on Tuesday, January 17. Stratford will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 43-32 league loss to Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 8-2.
