In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting St. Pius X Sartans basketball team scored a decisive 56-29 triumph over the West Las Vegas Dons.
In their next game, the Sartans meet the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a 4A District 5 match, on Thursday, January 19. St. Pius X will attempt to move on its 10-5 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 7-9 record after their 47-29 non-league loss to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
With the defeat, West Las Vegas moves to 9-8 on the year. The Dons travel to Raton (Raton, NM) to meet the Tigers in a 3A District 2 match on Tuesday, January 17. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 5-12. Raton lost 54-25 in their recent non-league match against Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM)
