Next, the Knights confront the Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Independence will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 1-1 non-league Anna (Anna, TX).

The Eagles now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Naaman Forest for a 6A Region 2 District 9 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. Rowlett will confront a Rangers team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Horn (Mesquite, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 2-0.
