Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Jim Hill Tigers (Jackson, MS), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Golden Tornadoes confront the Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) in a 5A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Laurel will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The War Eagles enter the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 4-0 league loss to South Jones (Ellisville, MS).

The Tigers now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Provine for a 5A Region 2 challenge on Monday, January 16.
