The Mattawan Wildcats trounced the visiting Escanaba Eskymos ice hockey squad by a tally of 8-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
With the victory, Mattawan betters its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Okemos (Okemos, MI) to confront the Wolves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Okemos lost 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI)
The Eskymos now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calumet for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. Escanaba will confront a Copper Kings squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Copper Kings record now stands at 0-8.
