The Denver East Angels (Denver, CO) basketball nipped the visiting Douglas County Huskies (Castle Rock, CO), 74-73 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Angels (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Mountain Vista (Highlands Ranch, CO). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Mountain Vista got by Castle View (Castle Rock, CO), 52-50, in a league test.

The Huskies now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Rock Canyon for a test on Tuesday, January 17.
