Miller Grove Wolverines (Lithonia, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Stone Mountain Pirates (Stone Mountain, GA), 58-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Miller Grove upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Wolverines host Clarkston (Clarkston, GA) to clash with the Angoras in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Angoras go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Clarkston won 61-42 in their recent non-league bout against Towers (Decatur, GA)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Stone Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 70-43 league win over Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA).
