Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Cumberland Academy Knights (Tyler, TX), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lindale for a 4A Region 2 District 14 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. Cumberland Academy will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Mexia (Mexia, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-4.
