Illinois High School Basketball - Proviso East knocked off by Thornwood

The Thornwood Thunderbirds basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Proviso East Pirates to 53 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thornton for a contest on Wednesday, January 17.
The Pirates (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Leyden (Franklin Park, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.
