The Black Bears (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bennington (Bennington, KS). The Bulldogs go into the Heart of America contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Bennington smashed Marion (Marion, KS), 58-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Oilers battle the Skyline Thunderbirds (Pratt, KS) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 16. Central Plains will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the contest with a 1-7 record after their 49-38 league loss to Pretty Prairie (Pretty Prairie, KS).
