In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Chillicothe Cavaliers basketball team scored a good 62-51 triumph over the Vinton County Vikings.
The Cavaliers (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Jackson (Jackson, OH). The Ironman/Ironladies go into the Frontier contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Jackson was topped by Wheelersburg (Wheelersburg, OH), 85-81, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH) in a Tri-Valley I contest, on Friday, January 17. Vinton County will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Golden Rockets go into the contest with a 2-8 record after their 54-41 league loss to Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH).
