In Tuesday's league contest, the host Fairmont Senior Polar Bears basketball team scored a good 67-54 triumph over the Lewis County Minutemen.
The Polar Bears (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Huskies go into the Big Ten contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, North Marion was topped by Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV), 64-39, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Minutemen battle the Bridgeport Indians (Bridgeport, WV) in a Big Ten contest, on Thursday, January 16. Lewis County will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 6-1 record after their 64-39 non-league win over North Marion (Farmington, WV).
