The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) and the host Harvest Christian Academy Lions (Elgin, IL), observed Genoa-Kingston's basketball team edge Harvest Christian Academy by a score of 53-50.
The Cogs (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL). The Cardinals come into the Big Northern challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Stillman Valley edged Round Lake (Round Lake, IL), 59-36, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions encounter the Alden-Hebron Green Giants (Hebron, IL) in a Northeastern challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Harvest Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Green Giants come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 62-28 non-league loss to Illinois Math & Science Academy (Aurora, IL).
