In Tuesday's league contest, the host Montevideo Thunderhawks basketball team scored a big 80-59 triumph over the Redwood Valley Cardinals.
The Thunderhawks (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against West Central Area (Barrett, MN). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, West Central Area smashed Ada-Borup (Ada, MN), 60-56, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the St. James Saints (St. James, MN) in a AA Section 3 contest, on Thursday, January 16. Redwood Valley will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Saints go into the contest with a 7-8 record after their 77-69 non-league win over Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman (Granada, MN).
