The Thornton Academy Trojans basketball team scored 38 points and limited the visiting South Portland Red Riots to 33 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Trojans now possess a 10-2 record. They play next when they host Portland for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Thornton Academy will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 52-31 league win over Edward Little (Auburn, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, South Portland falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Red riots host Deering (Portland, ME) to confront the Rams in a AA South game on Friday, January 17. The Rams go into the game with a record of 5-8. Deering lost 54-50 in their recent league game against Gorham (Gorham, ME)
