The Grand Prairie Gophers basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Arlington Colts to 40 in the Gophers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Gophers now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Bowie for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. Grand Prairie will confront a Volunteers team coming off a 44-22 non-league loss to Richland (North Richland Hills, TX). The Volunteers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Arlington falls to 1-1 on the campaign.
