Kansas High School Basketball - Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] holds off Atchison County

The Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones basketball team scored 47 points and limited the host Atchison County Tigers to 41 in the Cyclones league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cyclones now possess a 2-4 record. They play next when they host McLouth for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 46-26 league loss to Jefferson County North (Winchester, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Atchison County falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, KS) to clash with the Bears in a Northeast Kansas outing on Friday, January 17.
