Pine River-Backus Tigers (Pine River, MN) fans went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team overwhelm the visiting Browerville Tigers (Browerville, MN), 87-30 in a league challenge.
The Tigers (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN). The Jaguars come into the A Section 5 challenge with a 11-5 record.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Osakis Silverstreaks (Osakis, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Browerville will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Silverstreaks come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 54-35 non-league win over Swanville (Swanville, MN).
