The Central Plains Oilers basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Sterling Black Bears to 27 in the Oilers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Oilers now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Skyline for a non-league game on Thursday, January 16. Central Plains will confront a Thunderbirds team coming off a 0-0 league Pretty Prairie (Pretty Prairie, KS). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Sterling falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Black bears host Bennington (Bennington, KS) to confront the Bulldogs in a Heart of America game on Friday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a record of 6-1. Bennington won 48-35 in their recent league contest against Marion (Marion, KS)
