Maine High School Basketball - Cheverus fells Sanford

The Cheverus Stags basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Sanford Spartans to 51 in the Stags non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Stags now have a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Oxford Hills for a AA North game on Friday, January 17. Cheverus will confront a Vikings team coming off a 63-39 league win over Portland (Portland, ME). The Vikings record now stands at 10-2.
With the loss, Sanford falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME) to confront the Scots in a AA South game on Friday, January 24. The Scots go into the game with a record of 0-11.
