The Merryville Panthers basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Church Point Bears to 25 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now have a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to DeRidder for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Merryville will confront a Dragons team coming off a 37-26 non-league loss to North Central (Lebeau, LA). The Dragons record now stands at 0-16.

With the loss, Church Point falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Bunkie (Bunkie, LA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 8-11. Bunkie lost 43-37 in their recent non-league game against Beau Chene (Arnaudville, LA)
