The Newman Greenies basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host McGehee Hawks to 47 in the Greenies non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Greenies now have a 8-11 record. They play next when they host Benjamin Franklin for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Newman will confront a Falcons team coming off a 44-22 non-league win over Jefferson RISE Charter (Harvey, LA). The Falcons record now stands at 10-13.

With the loss, McGehee falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Hawks host E.D. White (Thibodaux, LA) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league game on Thursday, January 16. The Cardinals go into the game with a record of 15-2. E.D. White won 50-15 in their recent non-league game against St. James (St. James, LA)
